A WebQuest for 10th-12th grade Geometry students

This WebQuest is meant to help us dive deeper into two of our favorite topics: triangles and writing proofs! We’ve become very adept at using triangles to solve problems and in explaining our reasoning for how we know what we know through organized charts or paragraphs (i.e. writing the proof). In the upcoming unit we’ll be addressing some more specialized triangles and looking at how right triangles can help us solve a variety of problems. For this project specifically I want to reintroduce you to a man you’ve all heard of: Pythagoras. You may not know the man himself very well but I know you’ve all heard of his most well-known work, the Pythagorean Theorem. So we’ll start there…
